Welcome to KampusLink — the campus social platform built for university students in Zimbabwe. By creating an account or using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KampusLink, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

To use KampusLink you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a student or affiliated with a participating university
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Not have been previously banned from KampusLink

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your password or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Content

You own the content you post on KampusLink. By posting, you grant KampusLink a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content within the platform to provide the service.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive
• Harasses, bullies, or discriminates against others
• Contains nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence
• Spreads misinformation or impersonates others
• Promotes academic cheating, fraud, or scams
• Violates the intellectual property rights of others

5. Platform Disclaimer

KampusLink is a platform for user-generated content. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for content posted by users. We are not liable for interactions between users that occur on or off the platform.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor all content but will act on reports.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behaviour, or for any reason we determine necessary to protect the platform and its users. We will endeavour to notify you where reasonably possible.

8. Marketplace

KampusLink provides a marketplace feature for students to list and discover items. KampusLink is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of items listed. All transactions are between users directly.

9. No Guarantees

KampusLink is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the platform will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KampusLink and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to KampusLink in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for a free service is zero).

11. Intellectual Property

The KampusLink name, logo, design, and original content created by us are protected by intellectual property law. You may not use them without our written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Zimbabwe.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of KampusLink after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
